TEGNA Broadcasting partied with a purpose as Caleb & Calder Sloan’s House of Awesome took a road trip to the Lone Star State. We packed 2,000 backpacks full of school supplies for underprivileged children with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. TEGNA owns 47 television stations in 39 markets, reaching approximately one-third of all television households nationwide including host station KHOU-TV 11 Houston. So when they invited us to partner with them at their Content Summit with 200 of their senior corporate and station executives, how could we say No? The TEGNA Team and Boys and Clubs volunteers unleashed their awesome: The most enthusiastic and motivated team we’ve encountered yet, returning over and over until the good deed was done. Special thanks to the compassionate force of nature that is TEGNA Head of Marketing Meredith Conte and her team who conceived of inviting us and who did a lot of heavy lifting. And of course kudos to one of our key partners, Courtney Brockmeyer at Sydney Paige. Stay #Awesome with Adventure, Laughter, & Kindness!
